In recent years, some have claimed that there are too many new dances in the Israeli folk dance field. Dancers complain that they can not keep with so much new material while, on the other hand, new pieces are the essence of artistic freedom, and artists should not be limited in their work. So are there indeed too many new dances? Or is the Israeli dance field just another example of the fast-paced world we live in?
