The opening show will engage the audience in a stage adaptation and tribute to the universal concept of "A Mother’s Voice". Countless songs have been written about a mother’s love and the love for her, her compassion and concern, her wisdom and strength, her sacrifice and giving. This year's opening festival show will be dedicated to our mothers, and is structured as a tribute to the legendary radio program "Kola Shel Ima” (A Mother’s Voice), which has been broadcast on Galei Tzahal since the 1970s.
A wonderful series of songs about mothers will be performed by an array of star performers - Odeya, Shiri Maimon, Marina Maximilian, Maya Buskila, Valerie Hamaty, Mei Finegold and Or Cohen and Azimut band. They will be joined on stage by around 2,000 dancers from over 60 different troupes across the country for a huge, colorful spectacle that is a true celebration of female power.
