After winning the Acum Award for Lifetime
Achievement and recognition from the President
of the State, the poet and songwriter Rachel
Shapira earned her spot in the Hall of Fame of
the greats of Israeli culture. Many dozens of
songs were written by her and became legendary.
Suffice it to mention "Ma Avarech", "Kmo Tzemach
Bar", "Chalamot (Shel Etmol)", "Od Yeheye" and
"Shir Shel Yom Cholin" to understand the
huge impact that Shapira had on the lives
of all of us. In a special tribute show for the
festival, the adult groups (dancers aged +) will
present a collection of spectacular dances
to the sounds of Shapira's songs. Lovers of
poetry and dance are expected to nd here
an unforgettable evening that describes in
sound and movement the story of Hebrew
culture in recent decades.
