Although Israeli folk dances may have a very secular image, an in-depth look at the
dancing and songs reveals a strong connection and a nity between them and the
sources of Jewish heritage. Dr. Shmuel Saadia, Attorney for Human Rights, leads a
conversation that reveals how the creators of dances were in uenced by Jewish
sources in their choice of songs for dances. The session will feature explanation of
the connection between Jewish content and dance movements, and describe how
and where "Beit Abba" (traditional) cultures permeated Israeli folk dancing. He will
highlight the line that connects secular choreographers to Torah, Jewish poets and
    prayers.
